Markets and coverage: which public records each area publishes

Every area publishes a different public record. This page lists the regions we read in the United States and the United Kingdom, what each one puts on the record, and where you can browse the feed yourself.

In short

FieldClients reads the public record in 43 US regions and 20 UK regions. No two areas publish the same records, so each market's feed carries the sources that market actually has. This page shows, for each US area, which record types it publishes as data and whether you can browse its feed on a self-serve plan. Not listed? Request your market.

  • 43 US regions, 20 UK regions
  • Sources differ by area
  • Self-serve in 31 US regions

Why markets differ, and what that means for your feed

A permit means one thing in New York, where it can be joined to a registered managing agent and a 23-building portfolio, and something thinner in a county that publishes permits and nothing else. A planning decision in Doncaster names the applicant and the agent; a Companies House filing names a new occupier before it has a website. The records that predict your work depend on which of these your area publishes.

So each market's feed carries what that market publishes, read every day and matched to the account behind each record. You pick the market, filter the feed to your trade and browse every signal in it. A security company and a cleaning company in the same county browse the same public record and reveal different accounts. The regions below are the raw material; your trade filter decides what you see.

United States

43 regions. Permits, violations, registrations and deeds, published by each local government. For New York City we also publish a quarterly filing index of permits, job filings, violations, certificates of occupancy and deeds.

Self-serve covers 31 of 43 regions. Self-serve available means the region publishes at least 3 open datasets and a permit feed that still updates, so you can browse its feed yourself. Managed only means self-serve is not available there yet: request the market and we email you if it opens. Checked 4 November 2026.
